Hello, I can’t locate the tags panel in 2018. I’ve tried /window>default tray. Tags doesn’t appear on the drop down menu.
Any suggestions out there?
Thanks, George
They aren’t missing! There isn’t a Tags panel in SketchUp 2018. Look for Layers instead. The name was changed to Tags a few years later.
Did you just start using SketchUp 2018?
OK appreciate the direction,
No I’ve been using 2018 Pro since 2018, but never had to use Tags.
I’m trying to draw a broken line which I believe resides in the Tags panel, but w/o Tags where is it in the layers panel, the only toggles that come up are “visible” and “color”
Thanks
Correct. Tags and the Dashes feature were added later than SketchUp 2018. If you need that feature you’ll need to update to the current version of SketchUp which will also require a Pro or Studio subscription.
If you want to create the appearance of a dashed line in SketchUp 2018, draw an edge, right click on it, choose Divide and divide it into enough segments so you get the dash length you want. Then erase or hide every other segment.
If you are going to be working with your model in LayOut you can draw in the line there and change them to a dashed style.
well, that’s enough to make you upgrade, but alas this may be my last sketchup project so I’ll grin and bear it.
Thanks Dave, much appreciated, have a good one
George
Good luck with it.
