Suddenly can't select objects behind a section-plane

I use sketchup for interior design all day every day but in this model, I can suddenly not select and move objects behind a selection plane, in this one specific view. This is a whole house remodel and I have a ton of views/section planes saved and don’t have any trouble with any of the others, just this one view in this one room. I have deleted and reset the planes a few times, but any time I try to select one of these objects behind the plane, it just selects the plane. Almost like im stuck behind a plane of glass. I’m at a loss tryin to set this view to send to a client and this is the last view I need to update. Any idea??

Seems odd, are you able to share the model?

In your screen shot you have the section plane selected. Deselect it and then try selecting something in the background.

Thanks lol, I have tried that. Any time I move around, move my perspective, and try to select something, it is selecting the selection plane instead. Please see my original comment.

Is the Section Plane displayed? Is so, turn it off and update the style.

Your screenshot doesn’t provide enough information. Sharing the .skp file as @nmason asked would make it easier for us to help you without guessing.

No, it is turned off.

You have to make the file accessible.

‘Gus to Desk’ is the scene in particular Im having trouble with

That section plane is right on the wall in the bathroom. Move it in about a half inch. Get rid of all the excess section planes, too.
select

I’m not sure how you work with all those section planes having the same numbers.

I also cleaned up the model a bit to get rid of some stray stuff, then I fixed incorrect tag usage and purged unused content.

We have a couple of people on our team who work on the models and we work based off of scenes with the section planes hidden, so we never see them. The ‘working’ model has everything in it, and then we break out each elevation in each room to set the scenes. Each room has multiple views, section planes, etc. Its just the easiest way for us to navigate the rooms with our clients on zoom calls and for exporting to layout. Typically we are only working one or 2 rooms at a time, but this entire house was being redone and we have it broken out by floor, so theres more scenes than we’d usually work with also. This client in particular has been making changes for 18+ months, so there have been many variations…. I will try the moving the moving in the plane on this view and see if that resolves it. Thank you!!
