In SU Web, is it possible to rotate a surface texture, such as wood flooring, 90 degrees? Or control the texture’s orientation when it is applied?
Make sure you are in the correct context, selecting the face itself not a group or component, and only one face, then right click and away you go.
You need to right click on a single textured face and select ‘Position’ etc. to manipulate the texture. So the answer is yes.
Thanks @Box for the gif.
Is this feature no longer available in Sketchup 2024?
The usual reason you can’t see this option is you are selecting a ‘surface’ rather than a ‘face’.
Turn on Hidden geometry and you will be able to select a single face.
It doesn’t matter what I select, it doesn’t seem to work for me anymore.
Attach your model.
Thanks, I exited Sketchup and reopened it and it now seems to work.
I am using 2024 Pro and that option is no longer available. I downloaded an extension and that doesn’t work either. It doesn’t matter if I select the surface, it just doesn’t work.
If you read carefully, you’ll see that it only works if you select a face and not if you selected a surface…
I don’t have Pro 2024, but I’m sure that the option is still available…
If the extension didn’t work also, my guess it’s drivers error.
Yes it is, if you’ve applied the texture correctly and you are right clicking on a single face. It won’t be available if you’ve applied the material to a component or group container nor will it be available if the surface is made up of more than one face.
This is done in SketchUp 2024 on the desktop.
