…scenes not saving…tabs appear but previous scene did not save??? H E L P please… Is it a glitch, or is it me? Sue
Do you update a scene before moving on to the next? If you don’t, it won’t remember what you did to it and will revert to before any changes you made.
Are you referring to the warning pop-up that says i have not saved changes to my style?
What do I click, save as new style
Click into a scene, adjust whatever you want. Right click on that scenes tab and choose update. What happens?
Hi Sue,
I replied to your PM.
Hi,
I’m having a similar problem. With 2020 Pro I’m relying more on outliner to control scene visibility and less on tags. Some of my plan view scenes are not holding the outliner selections after I click update, move to another scene, then I come back to the what I thought was an updated scene and it didn’t hold the update. Help please!!
If you can share the .skp file so we can see what you’ve got going on, it’ll make it possible to help you get it sorted out.

Dave,
Start with scene “Model-hs”, then go to “Footing”, then go to “1st fl plan c” and make some changes in outliner, update, then go back to “Model-hs” then back to “1st fl plan c” and outliner visibility defaults back.
I read in a pre-2020 forum blog where is was noted that nested outliner sub-group visibility doesn’t work well with scenes. Is that still the case with 2020?
Thank you,
Pat
No. But you have such extensive nesting going on that I think you’ve made it difficult to manage object visibility that way. I think you’d find it a whole lot easier to reduce the nesting and use tags for the objects. Then control visibility of those objects through the Tags panel instead of through Outliner.
Ok, thank you for your time and advice Dave!
