SU 2017 Rectangle Tool

I am having an issue with SU2017 rectangle tool, it is filling not only the rectangle but also areas outside the rectangle.

if you are crossing ‘loose’ geometry it will try to find all the faces…

add an image or your skp file for further advice…

I thought the plan was grouped but it was not, so I grouped it and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your help. On a side note is it possible to keep all lines on layer 0, and groups on different layers? Thanks Again!

It is not only possible, it is the recommended way to use layers!
