I have a number of students who are trying to download their projects in any of the 3 file formats, but nothing happens.
When they click on Download>PNG>Export PNG, for example, nothing happens. The screen doesn’t change, and nothing downloads.
We have made sure the device is up to date. We have made sure that pop-ups are allowed.
We are using Google for sign-on. It works for teachers, but not students.
We have now tested in Firefox. They can download when signed in with their Google account in Firefox. The trouble is that our students use the Chrome web browser.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Seeing that it works for teachers and in FireFox, the issue is likely in the Chrome managed profiles in the Google Admin console for under 18 users. You may have your IT staff review the save browsing or download restrictions settings.
One way to check in SketchUp for Schools is to open Chrome DevTools (3 dots → More Tools → Developer Tools) on a students Chrome browser and see if there is an error indicating the download is blocked or refused.
Thank you for the info. I am one of our Google Admins. I reviewed the Chrome settings and have had no luck figuring out why it is happening. I have removed all restrictions on downloads, and it still does nothing. I looked at the DevTools, but it shows no errors. It is so strange. Even in an incognito window, it is not downloading. I will continue searching. Thank you.
