We have set up SketchUp for Schools using our Microsoft tenant. As an admin, I can successfully log in. However, students cannot log in and are given a message that it needs “admin approval”. When I look at the Azure back end, admin approval has indeed been given for the entire organisation.
I haven’t been able to find any MS-specific instructions for setting up, but as I can log in, that bit seems fine. It’s purely this admin approval, which has been given on every reference to Sketchup I can find in Azure, and matches with all MS documentation I can find on giving approval for apps.
I’m the District Technology Coordinator for a NH School District, and we’re currently trying to determine how our IT department can access an admin console for managing SketchUp user access.
We’ve received a request from a user to switch SketchUp from Microsoft SSO to Google SSO, but unfortunately, none of our current team members are familiar with how this service was managed in the past due to significant staff turnover.
Could you assist us in accessing the admin console or provide guidance on how to make this switch?
Hi @jgatta thanks for the post! If you are looking for a tutorial on how to deploy SketchUp via a super admin account then look no further! I will link a video at the end of this post that covers all of the details on how to deploy the app for your domain so just follow all the steps outlined in the video and you will be all set. If you end up getting an error message after following all the steps let me know and we can figure out a solution right away!
