Hello,
I have an account that I purchased the Student edition ($55) but when I am trying to access it after the 7 days trial, it still shows that I need to purchase the subscription. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Hi,
You have to assign the licence to yourself. weird I know.
you can technically get several licences with one account, then assign them to different persons. and it looks like in this case, you need to assign it to yourself.
https://ecom-prd.trimblepaas.com/account/organization
there, click on members on the left.
you should see only one member, you. if you click on the three dots next to your member profile, youâll be able to manage product access and assign the seat to yourself.
itâs supposed to be on by default, but during checkout there is an option to opt out (and do it manually), you might have clicked on it by accident.
Your subscription is managed by Creation Engine, and they have assigned the subscription to your email address.
You do have two accounts, your personal one, and the one that got created when you paid for the subscription. Both are using the same email address, and so itâs possible SketchUp is still seeing the trial that ran out a week ago.
Try signing out, and signing in again, and hopefully SketchUp will pick up on the subscription that runs out in Septemeber 2025.
This was the case for me except mine was just regular SketchUp Go. SketchUp did not pick up on the subscription one for me. Anything else I can do to login and not see the âYour Trial is Overâ message?
well sketchup go is Ipad + browser
so if you bought sketchup go, it doesnât give you access to the desktop version (sketchup 24)
itâs clearly explained here, scroll down to see a table comparing the versions
Oh I see. So the app on iPad is different from iMac app?
yes. the ipad app is for the tablet, it works on iOS
the mac is a computer on macOS
I see. Thank you so much for your advice!!
