Solid Inspector is happy with component, yet it is not solid

I’ve had this issue in the past, but I don’t recall exactly how to solve it.

Solid Inspector says the component is “shiny clean”, yet Entity info does not show it as a solid and solid tools indicate it is not a solid.

I think I had this issue due to nested components, but that’s not the case here. What might cause a component to not be recognized as a solid when Solid Inspector has not complaints?

The attached sketchup shows the component I’m having problems with. There are hidden components that will be subtracted to create holes with countersinks. I’ve done this without issue on different iterations of the bracket without issue, but now the solid tools don’t recognize the component as a solid.design bracket 3.skp (535.1 KB)

Hide the large flat face. You can see that there are internal faces. Solid Inspector doesn’t catch it because there’s no intersections between the surface.

With the thing open for editing, select all of the geometry and run Intersect Faces>With Selection. Then erase the unneeded geometry.

Unhide the face when you are finished cleaning it up.
