The file is obese. Even the place you shared it from is having a hard time downloading it.
Without having seen the file yet, I expect there’s no hardware upgrade that would make a significant improvement in performance. Proper model management is important.

Purging is very slow due all the unused stuff that is getting purged.
Even after purging there are some excessively large textures. There’s no point in that since SketchUp downsamples them anyway. And there are some overly detailed components that could be simplified. The model is still sluggish but I’ll try some more stuff.
It seems there’s a yard sale going on with a lot of stuff just floating out in space around the model. If it’s not being used it should be deleted and purged as well.
The stuff can all be retrieved again if is actually is needed but there’s no point hoarding it in the model file. Removing all that stuff shown selected and then purging the file again made this reduction:
No. Their computer is fine, but they should update to the latest SketchUp available to leverage big fixes and stability. And follow advice on keeping the model and resources clean.
