on sonoma 14.5,
I am coping this part into this new group but when i pasted it lose its proprieties and it becomes a default material, is that a bug or something wrong with the group?
if i past it in the original group than the material is kept, also within the same file
known bug, pasting stuff breaks the material

It follows a bit the discussion here with the new error message.
but not quite.
Start with a group, and some elements on the side. the extra elements (right on the video) are painted with a material.
select them, cut, enter the group, paste (in place or not).
it works, but the material of the elements you just cut/paste is gone from the panel.
it’s still there in the entity info panel and on screen, but gone from material in model.
select it, add…
however you can still use the eyedrop on it and re-add it to your material panel.
also, right now, in your first image it seems to me you’re looking at the painted recto, and in the second the unpainted verso.
