SketchUp web broken with Linux / Iris Xe graphics

Hello

SketchUp was working perfectly with my T14 gen1 and Linux Mint with some intel integrated graphics.
Then I switched to an T14 gen2 with Iris Xe graphics.

Since, Sketch up Web is not longer working, crashing while loading scene.
(With some WebGL warnings in the console)

So much frustration…

Any tips to make it work ?

Thanks a lot

I don’t think anyone will be checking the forum over the weekend, but perhaps @marwanobeidat can ask the developers for an opinion about why there would be crashing with the Iris Xe.

If you see a screen asking you to send in a crash report, do send one in.

That could be great !
Thanks for answering.

The main menu is loading (with some WEB_GL related errors in the console)

Opening a new or a saved sketch seems to crash, leading to a blank scene (with toolbars)

This is firefox but also happening with Chrome or Chromium

Under Chrome settings, do you have “Use hardware acceleration when available” enabled? Is chrome up to date? Check drivers if they need to be updated.

With Chrome Version 111.0.5563.64 (linux mint, 64bit)

When “Use hardware acceleration when available”
ON : crash
OFF : Working. But very very slow

Thanks for replying Marwan

Great news (for me at least)

Just tried
Version 113.0.5666.0 (Developer Build) (64-bit) from GitHub - scheib/chromium-latest-linux: Scripts to download and run the latest Linux build of Chromium. A substitute for Chrome Canary on Linux.

Works with HW acceleration !!!

:stuck_out_tongue: So glad

Between those two versions, I’ve found this fix for Chrome milestone 112 :

Feature: WebGLContextEvent on Web Workers
https://chromestatus.com/feature/5071251544997888

Maybe that does the trick
