Hello eveyone. When i import my sketchup model to twinmotion some of objects are not visible. All the cabinet doors you see in the picture are made of the same material, I even created them by copying in Sketchup. But when I import the model in Twinmotion, some parts are not visible. How can i fix this? Thank youuuu
Hello
You have misoriented faces
Two options to fix that :
1- switch to monochrome style in SketchUp, spot blue faces and reverse them. Re-apply texture if needed
2-in twinmotion select the wood material, or any material that has the issue and go to its advanced properties and tick the 2 sided material option
I believe I’ve read in twinmotion latest release notes that there’s an option to make 2 sided material by default upon model import, but not quite sure and not on a computer to check that out
thank you i tried both of your advices, It worked for some cabinets but there was no change for others. I even noticed that some cabinet doors were completely missing because I couldn’t click on them in twinmotion (the part under the sink). (‘‘Adsız 3’’ is from skethcup)
You don’t have to click on them, you can select materials from the material list in twinmotion
Anyway, they’re not completely missing, move your camera and go behind the door and you’ll see you will have the back face
Adjust camera movement speed with 1~6 numbers on your keyboard
If your missing cabinets are group or components, explode them in SketchUp and regroup them, reimport and it should work again if faces are correctly oriented
okey i found them outside, but how did they go and why still dont know, do you have an idea for that. Thank you so much btw
Try the explode / regroup thing. What twinmotion version are you on ?direct link Datasmith exporter or imported skp ?
there were issues reported with direct link import, and exploding groups could fix the issue.
Also, there’s an opened ticket for 2025.1 TM version :
TM-17960 - Material is not always updated after SketchUp file reimport.
thank you so much, after exploding them looks good now. helped me a lot
