Sketchup Pro crashing on my Mac

Hey there,
My sketch Pro 2022 keeps crashing when I try to open scenes. Is there a fix for this? Also, when I try to install Advanced Camera tools, I get a message saying not supported with Sketchup 2022 and or my latest Mac update. Any info to help solve these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Gina

What version of the Mac OS are you using?

Ventura 13.0.1

Ventura 13.0.1

I would expect @Colin to come along with some suggestions. Make sure you have SketchUp installed correctly and aren’t trying to run it from the .dmg.

Please also update your forum profile to include OS version. That information helps you get help more easily.

I am not sure about the crashing when going to scenes, if you see a bugsplat, could you send one in?

Advanced Camera Tools was dropped from being included with SketchUp. I don’t know what the reasons were. In the extension warehouse page it only says compatibility with 2021. There is a good chance it wasn’t updated for Apple Silicon. If you are on an M1 Mac, try Get Info on SketchUp, and check the box to open with Rosetta. See if that makes the extension work, and also if the crashes stop.

If you want to get better performance when not using that extension, you could duplicate the SketchUp application inside Applications/SketchUp 2022, and set only one of the two copies to open with Rosetta. Then you can use the other copy to get better performance.

Is 2022 SketchUpPro compatible with Ventura?

Hey thanks for your reply. Ok I will send in Bugsplat when crashes with opening scenes.

This is is the message I get when trying to download

Sketchup 2022 seems to be compatible with Ventura as I was working fine before using Advanced Camera Tools. I was wondering if there is an alternative extension I could use with similar capabilities as Advanced Camera Tools instead of having to use Sketchup 2021?

Thanks again for your help,
Gina

Hi,
I just sent in Bugsplat for when I open scenes window.

Thanks. Took me a moment to find it because you used a different email than the one you use in the forum! Thanks for mentioning scenes in the description.

Do you have any Vray windows open at the time?
