I paid $349, I deselected the subscription option because I didn’t want auto renewal.
I get email receipt and confirmation email but I do not receive any license info so cannot use the software.
I check my Trimble account and only the free version is in there.
I use the same email for everything.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
You won’t get anything like a serial number and authorization code. You sign into SketchUp using the email address and password you created when you purchased the subscription.
Ah, but I unchecked the subscription checkbox thinking that was the auto renewal, my purchase does not show in my Trimble account.
I only have the one email address so this is not an issue.
Put in a customer support ticket at SketchUp.com so they can help you straighten out your account. They should get back to you on Monday when they are back in the office.
Oh never mind Dave, I found it… had to assign it to me, Not the most user friendly setup but it’s working now.
Thanks.
the thing you unchecked during checkout isn’t the auto renewal.
it’s the auto assign. that’s why you ended up having to assign it to yourself manually.
You should probably check if you’re in renewal mode. I think you might still be, since you can only deactivate it after checkout.
Hi, thanks for the info, it’s a bit misleading for people who have never used this site before.
Anyway, all good now.
thing is, you can get subscriptions for someone else.
maybe tomorrow you’ll hire someone, and you’ll buy a month or a year of SU. and in the interface, you’ll assign them the subscription. but it still belongs to you.
if in a week you fire them, you’ll simply remove their access.
that’s why you can choose not to assign the subscription to yourself. the IT department rarely models stuff in 3d
