SketchUp Pro 2022 licensing "launch browser again" and nothing happens

Hello Colin,

This location I cannot find on my computer. None of the options provided in this thread works to solve the ‘launch browser again’ issue

Please advice how to solve this annoying problem.

I tested the steps I gave, and it does work. Select this text and do a Copy:

%AppData%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp

Open a File Explorer window, and click in the path field, where it might at first look like this:

Paste, so that the path now looks like:

Press the Enter key, and the path will fill in your user details, to take you to the right folder. Find the login_session.dat file, and delete it.

Or, download and extract the files that SketchUp3D_de gave you, and look for the one named “DELete SketchUp Pro 2022 Authorization Status File.bat”. Right-click on that file and choose Run as Administrator. His script will find the login_session.dat file for SketchUp 2022, and delete it for you.

Thank you so much! I was having this same problem on a Mac and trying everything to fix it tirelessly. Appreciate this helpful post immensely.

Where can I find File Explorer on my Mac?

Nowhere. On the Mac it is called Finder.

We deleted the mentioned file. And then re-installed the program, and then it worked!
great, thanks for all the help and info!

Worked for me, Thanks!

Thank you

Bonjour, j’ai le même probleme, mais quand je vais dans “finder” je ne trouve pas les options dont vous parlez :frowning:

The help article has been updated, and it gives steps to find that file on Mac:

colin,

I am also having this issue. I’ve followed the steps and deleted the login_session thing but now when I try to open SketchUp and log in it brings me to a webpage that says {“error”: “invalid_request”, “error_description”: “Invalid token error.”}

Please help.

A couple of us saw that yesterday. Trying a second time worked, is it still failing for you?

I can’t sign in either the program or the website on this laptop.I tried logging in on another laptop and using the same internet. It’s no problem. window 11. please help me.

That happens if you have a router or an ad blocker that prevents your browser from getting to id.trimble.com or accounts.sketchup.com. Either change your settings to allow those addresses, or try turning off the ad blocker when you want to sign in.

C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp
This worked for me. Note that AppData is a hidden file that you need to be able to view. While in your user folder, (in Windows 11) click on View>Show>Hidden Items Hope that helps someone.
