Sketchup Make 2017 Freezing when selecting faces

When creating an object and selecting a face, Sketchup freezes for a few seconds each time. Makes the whole thing pretty unuseable.

Any ideas how to get around this?

There are numerous threads on this topic that a little searching will easily turn up. Typically the problem seems to be related to Intel graphics drivers. Intel graphics are no recommended for use with SketchUp but some people manage. The trick is to find the right drivers and stick with them. Check with Intel for updated drivers and try installing them. If you’ve been using SketchUp for awhile and this problem just started showing up, it’s likely that Microsoft pushed a Windows update which included a problematic Intel graphics driver. Again, you can try to update directly from Intel or the alternative is to roll back to a driver that worked.
