I have used Sketchup for years, and I have copy and pasted faces out of groups and components for years. For some reason, when I try to copy a face inside of a component (with the intent to exit out of the component and paste the face in place), the model freezes and no matter how long I wait it never recovers. This is a new bug for me that I have never seen. I have an incredible machine with an excellent graphics card with drivers that are up to date. I mainly wanted to report this as an issue to see if anyone else is experiencing it, but also to see if there are any recommendations for how I can stop this from happening any more. This bug has slowed me down tremendously today, and lost me at least two hours worth of work. Right now my approach is to save often and not try to copy a face out of a component, which also slows me down a great deal.
I would be happy for any advice that can be given.
