Sketchup Loading and saving problems

Hello people. Heres a print screen of my issue. It will also not save because of this. I have to always “save it as” a new file in order to save a copy of my progress. Is there a way to resolve this?

Did you do something to sketchup.rb?

First suggestion would be to repair the installation of SketchUp. Make sure SketchUp and LayOut are both closed, find the installer (and if you haven’t updated to 2019.2, download a fresh copy of it) right click on it and choose Run as administrator. Then when if it comes up, choose the Repair option. If you are installing 2019.2 for the first time, it should just install but you must use Run as administrator from the context menu.

Nope. Never went into coding or anything like that. This is my first time since the sketchup is not repairing the problem itself. But Lets try your suggestion and see.

can you also post the sketchup.rb found in the app contents tools folder…

I don’t know the exact path on a windows pc…

Yes it is. It looks to me as if you haven’t installed SketchUp correctly. Do what I wrote previously.

Got it working again. Installed the .2 version and Bam, no more errors…for now.

Did you install it by right clicking on the installer and choosing Run as administrator?

Yep. I was almost gonna go double-click on it because i had forgotten about that detail, but then i saw a little colored shield on the icon i said wait, thats gotta be the windows telling you to go admin so let me right click this and go admin.
