SketchUp into Layout 2021 - Crashing

I’m new to Layout, trying to get to grips with it. Running 2021 SU and LO, on free trial currently, planning to purchase when it runs out. Was using 2017 SU until recently.

I have built a relatively small model in SU and now each time I try to work on it in LO (doc A3 size, has only 3 pages) it repeatedly goes to Spinny Beach Ball, hangs itself and I have to force quit. I’ve tried restarting the program and computer, resaving the source model, etc, but none of these simple fixes seems to resolve it. Any advice?

Can you share the .skp file so we can see what you are working with and give you some guidance?

By small, do you mean physical size or file size? File size is important.
