We are encountering some difficulties at our school(American School Foundation of Monterrey, a K-12 private school in Mexico, domain: www.asfm.edu.mx) with accessing Sketchup for our students. While teachers can access the tool without any issues, our students are facing barriers due to domain restrictions.
At our school, we operate with separate domains for teachers and students. Our teacher domain is “asfm.edu.mx” while the student domain is “asfm.mx” Unfortunately, it seems that only the teacher domain is currently whitelisted, preventing our students from utilizing Sketchup effectively.
We kindly request assistance in adding the student domain “asfm.mx” to the whitelist, allowing our students to access Sketchup for their educational activities.
Any support or guidance on how to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue.
Hi @jorge.colunga, thanks for the post. I’ll get you added to our database right now and by the time this post is live, you should be all set to deploy the app for your student domain if you have not already done so. Hopefully that is all we need to do to get you up and running. If you run into any additional technical problems please feel free to @ me in this thread and I’ll happily take a look to see what I can do to resolve them as quickly as possible.
Hi @michael.loney, thanks for the post. I just added you yo our database after confirming you were a k-12 school or district. You should be all set to deploy the app if you have not already done so, just make sure not to skip any steps as that can cause issues later on.
If you are still getting stuck after I added you and the symptoms are the same, make sure that pop ups are allowed for the site as we need to fire one off for the login process to resolve correctly and that cookies are allowed. If you none of that works, let me know and we can try additional steps to get you up and running as soon as possible!
@michael.loney Could you confirm if this is a new issue for you? Were your students previously able to log in with their school domain? And are you and your students using Google or Microsoft as a login service?
