Sketchup files not saving properly and crashing upon reopen

I’m repeatedly having issues with saving and reopening files. At first I thought it was because the files weren’t finished saving. Then last night I kept having issues with it saving to the sketchup cloud. Now, even the version I saved on my computer won’t open. It just crashes every time with now report. I saved and reopened the file last night to make sure it was fine. Then this morning I can’t open it. Sometimes I can get it to open on the web version, then in the next minute I can’t. Could you say what SketchUp cloud is? Do you mean saving to Trimble Connect from inside SketchUp, or Trimble Connect in a web browser?

The end of the file seems to be cut off.

Trimble connect from inside of sketchup. The copy I download to my computer doesn’t open either. I can find work arounds by using sketchup web sometimes. Then make copies and download again and open. Sometimes that doesn’t work either. It still crashes the desktop version.

Do you have the new graphics engine enabled? Your profile shows your GPU is an Intel Iris Plus.
The HW & SW Support page lists the Intel Iris family as not supported with the new graphics engine.

Perhaps try switching the engine to the Classic OpenGL engine and see if SketchUp is more stable?

That’s unsupported on MACos, not Windows. I’m running Windows 11.
