SketchUp File Corrupted After Power Outage – Need Help Recovering

Hello, SketchUp Experts,

My SketchUp file got corrupted after a sudden power outage, and now it won’t open. It gives the error “Failed to open Document.”

What I Have Tried So Far:

:white_check_mark: Checked for auto-saved files – none found.
:white_check_mark: Opened it in an older SketchUp version – didn’t work.
:white_check_mark: Used online repair tools (like Wondershare), but they ask for payment.
:white_check_mark: Tried importing it into a new SketchUp file – no success.

If anyone can help recover my file, I’d really appreciate it! :folded_hands:

Here is my SketchUp file:

Thanks in advance for your time and help! @colin

About 60% of the file is filled with zeros, no chance of recovering anything.

You didn’t say whether you looked for a backup file. That would be in the same folder as the SKB, with the same name, only it has an SKB extension. That is the previous save of the file. You could rename it, and change the extension to .skp, and see if that opens ok.

Were you also saving a copy of the file in your Trimble Connect storage which is included with your subscription?
