Sketchup distorded model

Hi, suddenly, my SketchUp model is all distorded. If I paste and copy it in a new model it’s ok, no more distortion. But I have many saved scenes used to create 2D drawings in LayOut, so I don’t want to start over all my drawings in LayOut.

Probably need to move the origin point to the bottom center of the house. Either that or you made changes to the component/group it’s in that’s skewing the view. But considering it looks fine in other models imported, more likely than not the axis origin point.

You may have a small bit of geometry a long way from the origin.
One way to find and delete it,
with entity info open, zoom out slightly so you can see your whole house,
hit ctrl+a, this will select everything in the model space
hold shift and do a left to right selection around your house, this will deselect your house,
if there is anything showing in entity info, delete it.

If this doesn’t work attach your model so someone can check it.

Ah, forgot that, too. I automatically assumed import but you’re right, if they’re copying and pasting, that’s a different story, there could be stray geometry out there.

I did have a geometry far away and deleeting it solved my problem ! Thanks a lot !

FWIW, moving the model axes to the house won’t change the distance from the origin. The “origin point” is fixed in the model space and cannot be moved. Moving the axes won’t change anything if the geometry is located far from the origin.
