Sup, I was looking for infos about the “SketchUp cannot start due to a license error.” error, and I got here, I was wondering if there was a definitive solution, I’m having this problem in the computer of a user here in my job. I have already tried to change the permissions that James showed in the tutorial, but I wasn’t successful. The computer is running Windows 10 SO and Sketchup 2020, we have a lifetime license. The computer was rebooted several times, and we tried to uninstall and install the program again with no success. The computer has no Realtek Audio just Google Earth Pro.
We never did figure out what to blame for the problem, but did put something into SketchUp to make it cope better if the problem occurred. That went into SketchUp 2020.2. Hopefully you are using an earlier version of 2020, that didn’t include the work around.
