Hello!
I installed SketchUp 2016 from the “Help > Check for update” menu. The first time, I migrated all the scripts. SketchUp simply wouldn’t open and kept getting the “Bug Splat” error. It opened once or twice and then repeated the error several times.
I uninstalled it, deleted all SketchUp 2026 directories in “C:\Users\my name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp,” and installed it again, this time without migrating any extensions. It opened, and I thought the problem was solved. I started installing the extensions one by one. It seemed to be working, but then everything went back to how it was before, i.e., it won’t open and keeps getting “Bug Splat.” I can’t access the program anymore. My computer is a Dell with an i7-12700 processor, 16 GB of memory, and an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve submitted countless bugfixes (more than 20 in total, I’m sure), but I don’t have any (I don’t know how to recover them). Is there a way to recover them?
Now, after repeated attempts, I managed to log into SketchUp once, and then I disabled practically all scripts. SketchUp started working again. The problem is that I don’t have my extensions.
next time you crash, send the bugsplat, and wait for the page in your browser to give you a number.
install or activate (if they’re already installed) half your extensions. if it crashes, you know it’s one of those. if not, it’s the other half.
and cut the culprit in half. then half. then half…
