After opening SketchUp existing or new project, Mac will kernel panic within 1-2 minutes. This issue was reproduced on macOS 14.4 and 14.6. Steps attempted: erase SketchUp /Applications /Library ~/Library and plists. Reinstall SketchUp. Open the app, start new project, app appears to last a few minutes longer, about 10 min, Mac kernel panics. Mac returns error on reboot to the extent of:
panic(cpu 4 caller 0xfffffe001d0e9720): “mismatched swapID’s 438295 vs 438296\n” @UnifiedPipeline.cpp:13260

There are some known issues with SU 2024 on M3 max. Search the forum for workarounds that may work for you. There is supposedly a fix in the works, but no announced release date yet.

Thanks for the tip, switching graphics to Classic in Settings appears to resolve the issue for now.
