SketchUp 2023 not allowing model to load to Layout 2023

I’m running a Mac Studio with SU.21 and SU.23 pro, together with LO21 and LO 23. The tab on SU.23 for loading a model to LO.23 is translucent, not sending the model. I re-started mu Mac, and the error still is occurring.
I was able to load the SU.23 file into my older SU.21 app, and it allowed me to get the model into LO.21; I was able to publish this drawing. Then LO.21crashed, and now LO.21 has an issue.
Now SU.21 is showing the same (The tab on SU.23 for loading a model to LO.23 is translucent, not sending the model).
Thank you,
Paul

That can happen if LayOut isn’t in the expected location. Can you check that SketchUp and LayOut are both inside a SketchUp 2023 folder, that is inside Applications?

Seems they are; note that I revised the name last Friday, but the issue didn’t occur until 9p 71223.

Colin,
I general use my LO.23 file to ‘opening SketchUp’. I just re-started the SU.23 and the issue is still presence. I didn’t shutdown the LO.23.

Colin,
When I shut LO.23 and re-stated using my ‘workaround’ SU.2021 file I got this message :

Paul

Colin,
I just attempted to open the same LO.21 file on my other Mac (MBpro intel 2019), also running SU.23; the same message appeared : Read-Only

Renaming LayOut to be LayOut23 would also show the problem. Can you name them back to be LayOut and SketchUp?

Not sure yet about the read only part, but see if things improve when the applications have their normal names.

I removed the SU.2023 and re-booted; the issue has disappeared in the new copy.
I’ll hope for the best ,
Paul
