I use two screens.
One 27" LG and my MacBook built-in Display.
When I use the 27" I have the laptop closed- clamshell mode, and occasionally switched to Built-in Display when im on the go. Sometimes the windows are in disarray so I Reset the Workspace.
It always Crashes when I ‘Reset Workspace’

I am having the same issue on Windows 1 PC with SU2021 Pro!
The same issue? This was on a Mac. Are you have troubles with more than one monitor? How are the connected to the computer?
By display link hub?
Are you missing panels or trays?
