Sketchup 2019 and 2020 software

I use 2020 Design software and am trying to upload items I have drawn on Sketchup Pro 2019. For some reason, the 2020 software won’t allow any items that were drawn newer than 2016. Does anyone know of a work-around for solving this problem? Or should I just try to find the 2016 version of the software and use it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can use ‘File > Save_As’ in SketchUp to save a SKP in an earlier SketchUp format.
Certainly SketchUp v2016 format is readily available [v3 being the earliest and not used for decades !]

Then your ‘2020’ software might accept your SKP - seems somewhat shortsighted for it not to accept current versions - like the recently superseded v2018 etc.

As TIG suggests, saving as 2016 should work. Another approach would be to go via 3D Warehouse, which allows downloading down to 2014. That could be useful for Free and Shop users.

Thanks for the advice. I will give it a shot. And yes, 2020 is known for being shortsighted! :frowning:

Ha! 20/20… shortsighted.
