Simple color options - Sketch-Up Web

In simplest terms: I drew a square. I want to make it red.

I do not care about materials and all that complexity. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to just make make a color palette come up so I can choose a basic color.

I tried to change the material colors that came up when I opened a new file. Think paint. Right click on face and choose color. All my searches come up with manipulating “materials”.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. As per usual, immediately after asking for help I figured it out.

Even a simple colour counts as a ‘material’ in SketchUp.

Press the letter b for paint Bucket to bring up the Materials window. Look for Colors, or Colors - Named in the drop down list and pick one.

Then apply it with the paint Bucket tool.
