Changing materials/colors

Hello,
I am new to sketchup. I am sure my question is super basic, but I didn’t manage to figure out :frowning:

My architect gave me the files they are working with (Archicad) and we converted them to sketchup,
I want to do some visualizations and try different colors.

Some questions:

  1. Is there a way to change the color to all elements of certain material (like change all windows frames, or walls)
  2. When I select multiple components or a group and I try to use the paint bucket, nothing happens. The only way I can change the colors is Select Group → Explode (or edit) → Select the face, and pain. How can I apply a color to all faces of a group?

Here a link that shows what (doesn’t) happens: Screenpresso Cloud

Thank you!

Probably the easiest thing would be to edit the material in the Materials panel. Otherwise you would need to open the different objects for editing. There are some extensions such as Material Replacer that might do what you want but it depends on the context in which the materials are applied. I’d start with editing the in model colors.
