Sign in Sign out......what's it all about?

Here is a scenario that I find very frustrating.

I close down my Sketchup subscription at work (the computer is off) but I cant use my laptop at home because I am "Signed in to ALL THINGS SKETCHUP.

The Subscription allows us to install SU on two devices.

I have been trying to log in for almost an 1.5 hrs at this point (6.20.2023). The increasing bugs make it very difficult to consider SU as a professional tool. Especially with the seat accountability creating a lack of portability.

More accurately, two activations. That could be two different versions of SketchUp on the same device.

Be aware that simply shutting SketchUp down and your machine down does not log you out of SketchUp. You can always log out of other machines via the AMP and manage devices…

Maybe true.

butt still, some times i do not have to sign in for seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, it feels like.
Even when i switch system office pc > home laptop, no sing in needed and no issues.

Today for example, i could start sketchup without signing in, was working with this file sine 9 o clock.
And (idk exactly) at 13 hours i somehow needed to sign in before i could color a face, so i did, no problem.

And at 14:30 wanted to start a second sketchup to open/view another file, but the popoup with “technical difficulties” poped up and i had to sign out and in again (again?)?

Maybe off topic, but do like the fact sketchup tries to think with/for me, but sometimes i do not understand its thinking. Like when i want to move an object, sketchup preffers to rotate it?

Antwhoe, today signed in at least two times, last week maybe one time for the whole week and both systems

You can toggle the rotation grips off… otherwise you might be activating one when you are trying to move.
