Show terrain in Geo-Location

Hello,

In Aaron’s Square One video on Geo-location, he went to File > Geo-Location > Show Terrain and got the image attached to this message. I’m using SketchUp 2024 and it seems like I have to use File > Add Location to even use Geo-Location.

Is there any way I can turn on Show Terrain in SU 2024?

Look in your tags, assuming you imported the terrain correctly.

Naturally. If a model is not geolocated (a location has not been added)and no terrain has been imported there will be no terrain to display.

Add location replaced the old geolocation I believe during ver. 2024. Check that you have 3d terrain checked when you are importing the image, because you can check either or both. Then you can toggle 2d and 3d terrain on and off in your tags. The imported data goes into a geolocation content tag with sub tags of 2D Plane and 3D Terrain.

Thank you everyone – especially whoever sent me the video of Aaron teaching Geolocation for SU 2024.
