Hello. I recently asked about best workflow to make a shell niche (or scallop) architectural feature. I followed a couple of great lessons provided by Box and Mihai.s but have ended up with quite a fussy/ no solid bit of model. Here attached. Can anyone advise on how to tidy/ clean this up. Ideally I’d like to see the edges separating the segments but not see all the polygons. Also it would be great if this could be turned into a solid? I have attached the ref that I have been working from. Many thanks.

A couple things… first you attached a backup file (your most recent file should have the extension SKP, not SKB).
To make this a solid, you just have to explode all of the components, then group all of the geometry together into a single group. You just need to add an edge to the bottom to close those faces.
Finally, if you select all of the geometry in the group you can smooth it to get rid of the edges and create single front and back faces… at that point you should also reverse the back face, as it is facing the wrong direction.
Took me about a minute to turn it into a single smooth solid!
Thanks for checking. I don’t see a way of adding edges/faces to the small curve opening at the bottom to close that gap. Did you have a good trick for that?
