my iPad does not have the scan function, is it possible to scan a room with my phone and then transfer the image to my iPad to edit there?
I’m not sure, I almost never use my Ipad to model anything, I just use it to show my clients a 3D of the project.
You can check if the Ipad has the option to import rwp or e57 files or other point cloud file, otherwise you’ll have to use your iphone to scan your room then use scan essentials or any other software to convert the point cloud into meshes, there are a lot out there and some are even open source. You will need a pc or mac to do that though, those programs don’t run on Ipad OS
Unfortunately, it’s only on the ipd version of the app. Not the iphone version, even though it would be really neat.
You can scan with your iPhone using PolyCam and export your scan to dae format file. Then use your SketchUp Go subscription to import the dae file.
After that you can open your model with you SketchUp for iPad
