Why we cant use our Iphones which has same lidar sensor as the ipads to scan the rooms.
Please make scan essential app work on Iphone As well.

hello, I guess you mean Scan-to-Design.
So that you know scan essentials is an extension for visualizing / manipulating point clouds and is available with the studio plan
I use the roomplan option here
why we use other apps since sketchup already providing an app on IOS platform?
Yes I want to scan by phone and use that scan on my computer to start the design and refer the measuring points.

Most likely because Scan-To-Design runs inside a fully functional version of SketchUp for iPad… I don’t know that there has been a good reason to try to get a full version of SketchUp onto an iPhone… just guessing though…
this is an odd one.
scan to design was made for the niche ipad lidar but not for the vastly more common iphone lidar. and like… ok fine, you have an ipad or iphone with a lidar. so, well, you could use it to do a 3d scan and import it using scan essential on your mac except that no, scan essential was built using a pc only library.
pretty much at the same time, a team was developing scanning tools for the apple ecosystem and in the next room another team was developing scanning tools for pc only and nobody seemed to see how weird it is ?
