Scan to Design on iPad failing to process an outdoor scan, can’t import USDZ?

I’m working on a landscaping project for a small deck and was hoping to utilize the Scan to design feature. Unfortunately, although the scanning seems to proceed normally, the scan won’t process and seems to stall out. (I’m on a 2024 iPad Pro— it does work on an interior room). I was then hoping to use an USDZ file from another app on my iPhone but apparently importing an USDZ file with SketchUp on iPad?

Is this a dead end?

As of now, the scanner on the iPad is recommended for interior scans with ceilings no taller than 10 feet. The scanner relies on a closed space and items to be scanned within 5 - 12 feet.

And USDZ import is for Pro only? Any other 3D imports available?

You can use 3D Scanner App and export your scan to .dae. That format is avaliable to import with Go.
But you have to scan it again.
Make a smalll test before…
