Scan essential stopped working after update

I’ve been using scan essentials to import point clouds into my sketchup drawings, both .las and .e57 files

This morning I updated scan essentials, afterwords trying to import files didn’t work. The usual open window pops up, followed by the save as an .rwp file, but doesn’t save anything or display anything afterwords. I am unable to load any of the previously generated .rwp clouds.

I’ve tried re-installing sketchup as an administrator. Setting the display to use the graphics card with sketchup. and restarting my machine.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

This is with SketchUp 2020 as your profile indicates?

I just updated my profile.

I have Sketchup 2024 studio

Hi,

Could you share one of your files? Also, note that converting E57 and LAS files requires space on your main hard drive, as the process uses the temporary folder at some point.

Best,

JH

Hdd space could be an issue, I only have about 50 gigs left on the hard drive.
I’ll try clearing up another 30 or so, and trying to import again.

What’s the best way to share a file? When I upload one of the point clouds it says that the file type isn’t supported.

Thanks

I don’t think it’s a hard drive issue.

I made more room on my HDD, and I still can’t open any point cloud files (I have about 75 gigs of room on my HDD).

I have several point clouds that I was viewing earlier today, but now it won’t load any of the already generated .RWP with corresponding directory’s.

Like I said earlier I updated scan essentials, but I also updated my Nvidia studio drivers.

As point clouds are generally large, you may use GDrive, Connect, OneDrive, WeTransfer…

Best,

JH

if a conversion succeeds, there should be .rwcx files in the corresponding folder.
RTX 3080 with latest drivers?

Here is a link one of my files

Yes I updated the graphics drivers, scan essentials and “Add Location” in the Trimble Extension Manager

Before I did those updates I could load cloud files, after I did those updates I restarted my computer. when I opened sketchup it made me agree to an end user agreement then froze. This happened 2 or 3 times in a row when trying to start sketchup, each time making me agree to the same user agreement. I restarted my computer again and was able to open sketchup, but not able to load point clouds, or save them in the Real works format

Problem solved,

I uninstalled Scan Essentials and reinstalled it and that resolved the issue

Thanks for your time

Cheers
