Does anyone have any ideas for rounding the corners of lines that aren’t straight lines? In my file, I’d like to round all the outer edges so they don’t have such sharp edges. I tried using the Roundcorner plugin, but I’ll let you see what happens.
It’s a bit of a mess. Things are really flat, so round corner is going up and down and trying to work out how to make the surface work… you can see it in the weird shading happening:
Thanks for your reply !
I understand what you are saying. I will see to correct the basic model…
How did you achieve what you did in the second photo? The rounded arc? Via roundcorner?
Thank you very much.
Like Mike, I redrew the shape so it is cleaner. Part of cleaning up the shape was to eliminate all that triangulation on the top and bottom surfaces. It’s not clear if you want the bottom edges rounded too but I did it. I used FredoCorner instead of Round Corner.
With all the narrow triangulated faces on the top of the piece, the Roundover created by the extension results in very short edges and the “tiny face” issue. Cleaning up the geometry to eliminate those triangles avoids the tiny face issue.
