Rotate corner not locked

Hereis a video which shows it better than I can describe

The component corner is not locked in place. The whole component moves.

Other components rotate correctly. This component was formed with a Union.

Thanks for the help,

Ralph

That’s weird. Can you share the SKP file so we can have a look?

Weird, but I think this is because group is defined far from origin.

Here is the .skp.

It very likely is a problem caused by my 3DConnexion SpacePilot Pro 3D mouse.

I have tried to contact 3DConnexion but have been ignored.

But yes the component was made in another .skp file and copied and modified in this .skp.

Other components brought over from the other .skp work ok.

Ralph

It’s set as a face me component.

I’m away from my computer at the moment but I’ll look when I get home.

Thanks, so how do I unset it?

Ralph

Select the component in the Component window, click on the Edit tab, and. Untick Always face camera.

You may have to set gluing to none first.

I exploded it and that seems to have worked just renamed it the same name and replaced the one that was not working.

there are a few more issues, I could keep you up all night.

I will do a new thread tomorrow, if I cannot figure it out.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Yes. Explode works however if you had multiple copies of the Component in the model, that would only take care of the instance you exploded. You would still need to deal with the other instances. Removing the face camera property would take care of all instances at one time.

Thanks, don’t know how the face camera got selected I never use that.

Possible accidental click in just the right spot in the Create Components window? Oh well, you should be fixed now.
