I’ve just downloaded Sketchup Make. I started creating a model but the program is repeatedly crashing / bug splatting. It doesn’t seem to happen when I’m doing anything in particular. I’ve tried copying the model and pasting it into a new file with no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
The most common cause of frequent bug splats is usually graphics card related. You might see what happens if you turn off Use Hardware Acceleration in Window>Preferences>OpenGL. If you note a change in behavior, check to see if there is an update for the graphics card drivers. Well, you should check for updates periodically anyway.
Thanks Dave, I turned off the Hardware Acceleration as suggested and it seems to be working (very slowly)… so far. As you can probably tell I’m no computer whizz… any chance you could let me know how I would check for a graphics card driver update?
Jen, I would start by going to the AMD site and let it detect your graphics card and see if it suggests a newer driver.
Ok. Thank you for your help
