Rectangle not resizing then disappearing

I have been trying to specify a certain size for the rectanges. I can enter the dimensions/Measurements, but when I hit “enter” the rectangle disappears!! Is anyone else having this issue?

What exactly are you typing when you try to enter the dimensions? Are you clicking in the Measurements window before typing? If so, don’t. Are you sure the rectangle is disappearing? Is it possible the rectangle is small and the camera is zoomed out zo you can’t see the rectangle?

What operating system are you using? You put 2025 in your forum profile but that doesn’t identify the operating system. Are you using SketchUp in your web browser or SketchUp for iPad?

Sketchup for Web and I also use the Sketchup app. I’ve made thousand of rectangles using the measurements: 3”, 70”, then hit enter. It worked every time until day before yesterday.

I have a file that has the same size as what I’m trying to enter and the rectangle disappears.,

I’ve tried moving in and moving out and nothing!

That’s the same thing.

Try omitting the space between the comma and the 7.

This is what I get when I draw a 3 in. by 70 in. rectangle.

Share the .skp file so we can see exactly what you’ve got going on.

Please share the actual .skp file. What you shared is just a viewer link but that doesn’t allow us to actually work in your file.

BTW, please fix your forum profile with the actual operating system and graphics card you are using.

I tried sharing the file but not working. And my 2 Sketchups are different: one is an app in my taskbar, and one is on my favorites bar.

What’s not working? Is it larger than 16 Mb? If so, upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.

You indicate in your forum profile that you have a Go subscription. That would entitle you to use SketchUp for Web and SketchUp for iPad but not SketchUp for Desktop. The latter would typically be shown in the taskbar.

When I try to log in to the app, it says I don’t have a subscription. But when you go to my profile, it shows my subscription. Still trying to share. I’ve never shared on Sketchup before.

The app? What does this mean? Are you talking about SketchUp for Desktop? If that’s the case and your profile is correct that you have a SketchUp Go subscription, your subscription would not include SketchUp for Desktop. You would need to have a SketchUp Pro or SketchUp Studio subscription.

Do what I said. Upload the .skp file to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.

I have an app for Sketchup on the taskbar on my computer, just like Excel, Word, etc. I don’t have a Dropbox account and when I try to create one, it says it cannot do that. Trying to do WeTransfer, having the same problem.

So frustrating……

OK. You’re not making yourself very clear but that would imply that you have installed the desktop version of SketchUp. You put in your profile that you have a SketchUp Go subscription and are using SketchUp for Web. As I’ve told you twice already, you would not be entitled to use SketchUp for Desktop with a SketchUp Go subscription. If you really do have a Go subscription there’s no point in having the desktop version installed on your computer.

Why do DropBox and WeTransfer tell you that you cannot sign up for an account?

You could try using Google Drive instead.

I got into WeTransfer, trying to add the files now.

I need an address to send to…..

Just copy the link and paste it into a reply.

A screenshot doesn’t help in the least. It does show that your SketchUp file is only 119 Kb. That’s way below the 16 Mb limit. Just drag that into a reply .

The Trimble Connect Web link you shared doesn’t help, either. That just let’s us sign into our own account.

Click on the three dots button, and you can change it to give you a link instead of needing an email address.

I give up.

I guess I’ll have to give up, too.

Everything I have tried is not working. I just got Google up……maybe that will work.
