I just installed sketchup 2025 (and layout).
I am going back to update an old layout file (not my cleanest work, but just need to update a few things). Now all of my raster viewports show up empty. And Hybrid viewports show up with no colors. Lines only. Vector rendering seems to work fine, but typically I like to have a perspective view on the over page in hybrid (show material texture) and i use raster viewports for many details to show hidden lines.
Anyone have a fix for this issue?
FILES REMOVED
This is what I see on the pages in your LO file immediately after opening it in LO2025. Are there any missing viewports? Do you have the most recent release of SketchUp/LayOut 2025 installed?
Interesting. Now when I open my layout file again, the raster and hybrid viewports work again.
I had to remove some components etc. from my model so that the file was small enough to attach to my forum post. Is it possible that removing excess components made the viewports work again?
I suppose, but only if you had updated the reference in the LayOut file before uploading it here. I didn’t relink the LO file to the .skp file you shared.
I’m going to edit my post to remove the screenshots. I missed that there’s client and other contact info included in the LO file. I was only looking at viewports when I made them. You might want to remove the LO file, too.
Thanks @DaveR I removed the files.
Yes I updated references before uploading them originally. That must’ve been it. The file was just too big and messing up the layout file.
That may have been it but it’s hard to say now. It’s like taking your car into the garage because it’s making a weird noise but it won’t do it for the mechanic.
Maybe your cleanup of the SketchUp model was just what the mechanic ordered.
