Why are you scaling a +40-post-to-get-the-dimension-right-component ?
Why are you asking the question?
40 + post? Is that too much?
Should I find the topic in the forum under editing a component and start a new thread or question?
More to the point should I zoom up the view of the house before adding the component so that the numbers fit?
How do YOU do it? Many thanks.
I asked the question because, after taking all that effort to get the right dimensions, you insert it in another file and start scaling.
If you draw in real world measurements, no scaling should be needed.
Not every model on the 3d warehouse takes that in account, but the manufacturers who publish their models usually have real world sized products.
So a skp file isn’t a made to order thing simply a replica that doesn’t integrate and if you scale it there’s no verification in the flyout where one can fine tune? Isn’t that an entity info job? I chose mm’s template and entity info has inches in it. No co ordination. When you insert a component do you redraw it to your own drawing? Is that best practices standard? Why have a components warehouse that then requires eye balling only? (head scratch)
zoom factor has nothing to do with the scaling, do you see the dimensions change if you zoom in?
Watch what is being typed as it appears in the measurement box, the very same one that is at the bottom of your screen, and the result it gives once enter has been pressed.
