I just installed Sketchup 2023 on my Windows PC so I could import a Revit file into my layout. I am getting this error message: “Revit Importer for Sketchup. Cannot connect to server. An internet connection is required. Please sign in and retry.” But I am signed in to Sketchup and my internet is working so it doesn’t make sense. Is the Revit Importer something that has to be signed in to separately? Thanks, Ed
It is Sketchup Pro
The Revit importer is part of the Studio subscription, I think, not Pro.
The Revit Importer is part of SketchUp Studio - not Pro
Even so, you shouldn’t be getting that error - it should ask if you’d like to start a trial.
Try signout out of SketchUp and signing in again.
Thanks. I am going to try and do a trial of Studio and see what that does. If I’m still getting the connection error I will reach out to our IT department. Again, thanks for the help!
I do have the same error message “Cannot connect to server. An internet connection is required. Please sign in and retry.” , even though I have active SketchUp Studio Subscription and it shows in SketchUp as log in with my correct email account. My internet connection is working fine, including when using online search within SketchUp Warehouse or SketchUp Extension windows in the app itself. Does anyone have an idea how to fix?
Hey,
Could you sign out and sign in back (in SketchUp)?
Jacques
I am having the same issue. Have tried signing out and signing in but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixes?
I see on your profile you have a Studio license, is it correct?
That’s right
I just upgraded to Studio and am having the same error msg. Internet working great. I have tried re-logging in as well. Is there a solve?
Simon, did you get a solve for this issue?
Not yet… have tried multiple fixes but nothing works. @Jacques is back from vacation now and looking at it again.
Vasil - did you find a solution? I’m having the same issue. Thx for any advice.
Edward, did you find a solution? I’m having the same issue.
Try the usual things
paste
%appdata%/SketchUp/Sketchup 2023
(change the version year as needed) into the Windows explorer address bar (or press windows + R and paste it there )
A folder will open : delete the webcache folder
Then go into the “SketchUp” Folder and delete “Login_session.dat”
Start SketchUp again and sign back in
