Thanks Anssi That was driving crazy. Exploding the group was the last thing I would have thought of. I did try several other things… The exploding worked, I will remember that.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I went through some Chaos forums and learned about issues with groups/components and Vray so I exploded and regrouped and it worked. Thanks again!

In the file discussed in the thread you linked to, the object goes missing even in the latest version of V-ray 5 (dec. 15). I am trying to reproduce it.
