RE: missing mouse cursor in Sketchup Pro 2019 with Windows 10
This procedure fixed the problem of the sporadically missing mouse cursor in sketchup .
Hope it`s useful info for someone out there ;-):
I found that two separate display adapters are enabled, so I just disabled one. See image below.
go here: windows settings> device manager> display adapters.
FYI, full description of my problem:
mouse and wacom stylus cursor did not display in the sketchup window - whilst the mouse cursor was operating fine in ALL other areas of the display (all other applications and desktop).
NO IMPROVEMENTS after trying the following methods:
- installed latest updates for windows, NVIDIA graphic card, mouse, wacom tablet
- modifying openGL settings in sketchup> preferences> open GL settings (multisample ant aliasing; use fast feedback)
- reinstalling sketchup 2019
- installing sketchup 2020 (I found the same problems in this version)
- disabling all sketchup extensions
- windows game mode (on or off )
- windows graphics settings> graphics performance settings> set graphics preference (system default or power saving or high performance)
- unplug second monitor
FYI, my PC configuration is:
very new Dell Precision 3630 tower
windows 10 Pro version 10.01.18363, x64;
graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro P1000 with latest driver version 442.50
other graphic card: Intel UHD Graphics 630
two monitors: Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 and an older screen with 1920x1080
