No Box Mapping?

Hi guys,

I am trying to map some textures but I can’t find the options for mapping types (box, planar, cylindrical, etc etc).

I downloaded SketchUV extension Extension | SketchUp Extension Warehouse

And applied box mapping to a single face, it looks like this:

But when I apply the material it looks like this:

Also, is there a way to map the entire box instead of face by face? This feels very cumbersome.

You maybe overthinking this…. what’s your texture look like ?

No. UV mapping must be done directly upon a face.

I was actually just using a picture.

I am actually trying to achieve both these results inside Sketchup.

One has the texture applied with a Box mapping to the whole.
The other has the texture applied with a Box mapping per object.

Tho one on the left may be doable using a Projected material.

Agree with Aaron. Projecting the texture might be the better approach. The native tool or perhaps the ThruPaint plugin. Not positive what’s happening in the image you posted with your Sketch UV result. Suspect it’s from using a small texture relative to the size of the box. You can scale the texture when using Sketch UV. Also Sketch UV will map multiple sides , you just need to select the sides you want to select before calling up the tool. Sorry I can’t take a deeper look at your model, I’m assuming by your profile you downloaded a 2022 file and I’m on 2018.
