Sketchup mapping ultra complex shape

For a while (2 weeks) I have been trying to place a texture on a bed cover.
This is a personal project.

I tried with thrupaint de fredo, but I can’t (must say that the thrupaint is particularly difficult to understand).
Either it is placed correctly on the top but not on the edges or vice versa!

Is sketchup or specific extension (free) can do that ???

My system : Imac, OS X Big Sur, Twilight hobby

Over there, all textures are perfectly mapped on objects !




If I were going to do something like that I would start over and use Clothworks (from Sketchucation) to create the bed cover. The texture gets applied to the flat version of the cover. Clothworks does an excellent job of mapping the texture to the wrinkled fabric. A few examples:

Import the model in Blender and with UV Unwrapping + UV mapping
